Owner and lead Trainer, Juan F. Garcia, is a 20 year active duty U.S. Air Force retiree, Security Forces K-9 Military Working Dog (MWD) Handler, Trainer, Training Supervisor, Department of Defense's Basic Handlers Course Instructor and Trainer/Kennel Master Supervisor Course Instructor, and evaluator.  Juan’s years of dog training experience has been primarily in advanced obedience, law enforcement ops., explosive/narcotics detection training, handler team performance evaluation, curriculum development, dog validation testing, health & welfare assessments, and canine CPR/Self Aid/HazMat for the Department of Defense (DoD).  Juan has been recognized as a Superior Performer by the USAF Inspector General both CONUS and OCONUS, and the U.S. Secret Service for his MWD Explosive Detection competency and proficiencies, having led as the primary MWD team for POTUS, VPOTUS, and U.S. Senators in multiple Secret Service Missions.  Included in his numerous accolades is his 100% accuracy rating in formal DoD K9 training certifications, and the legendary one-of-a-kind indoor Dog Training arena that he created and established while stationed overseas. 

 

Juan’s inherent standards of exceptional leadership, professionalism, and pride in work ethic, paired with his sound technical knowledge and instructional aptitude, qualified him for leading and progressing others in their own handling and training skills and proficiency.  His methodology in canine handling and instructing has been consistently successful due to values and principles of placing the canines needs first by building the canine’s self-confidence, sense of trust, security, and belonging, through reliable, humane behavior modification techniques. Conditioning a desired and practical behavior response assists a handler and dog owner alike, in negotiating obedience obstacles, and cultivates dog/owner cooperation, teamwork, and relationship.  His dedicated approach has proven effective in the restoration of multiple behavioral and training-impaired canines into operational readiness abilities.
